Let the light in…

Home8These days summer is back in Copenhagen. For almost a week I have woken up to a blue sky and warm temperatures even tough it’s fall. Being on maternity leave just waiting for the baby to arrive I really enjoy having time to take it all in. Today the light was so beautiful so I couldn’t help shoot a few photos of our living room. I hope you have had a great day too.

——————–

Living space

Brinklercph 3

Living space is the perfect word for our dinning-, kitchen and tv room which are three rooms all brought together. The open kitchen and dinning room space is especially nice when we have company because you can prepare dinner while still being a part of the conversion. The renovation of these three rooms hasn’t been extensive. We removed an old built-in book case and had the wall rebuilt. Otherwise we just painted the walls and sanded the 60 year old oak floors. Because the room where we wanted to place our sofa had a pinewood floor, we decided to place a wall to wall carpet to reduce the diference between the very beautiful oak hiring bone floors and the pinewood.

Now we just need a little bit more on the walls, but I’m already pretty happy about the result. Here are some pics to give you an idea of what I’m talking about…

——————–

The carpet in this room turned out pretty good and keeps the Bauhaus Bar wagon from sliding – also from Please Wait To Be Seated
